Frequently asked legal and booking questions

These Travel Booking & Cancellation Terms apply to all upcoming concierge trips, tours, flights, accommodation, activities, and other travel arrangements managed by Global Travel Mates under the direction of Director RD.

What is your booking deposit policy?

Once a booking deposit has been paid and confirmed, the deposit is strictly non-refundable, subject to any rights you may have under applicable Australian Consumer Law.

Why are booking deposits non-refundable?

Your deposit is immediately used to secure international flights, private tours, boutique accommodation, transfers, and activities. In most instances, Global Travel Mates commits immediate funds to international airlines and overseas suppliers that cannot be recovered once arrangements are locked in.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify Global Travel Mates in writing as soon as possible. While deposits are non-refundable, any recoverable portions of remaining balances will depend on third-party supplier cancellation policies.

Are airline ticket changes or cancellations permitted?

Airlines enforce their own strict fare rules and conditions. Flight changes or cancellations are subject directly to airline penalties, fare differences, and supplier terms, over which Global Travel Mates has no direct control.

Do I need comprehensive travel insurance?

Yes. We strongly recommend that all travellers secure comprehensive travel insurance immediately upon paying their deposit. Comprehensive cover helps protect against unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays, and lost luggage.

How are Australian Consumer Law rights protected?

Nothing in these terms limits, excludes, or modifies any statutory consumer guarantees or legal rights provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or applicable Australian state fair trading legislation.

What if an overseas operator cancels an activity or tour?

Should an external supplier cancel a service due to weather, operational issues, or unforeseen circumstances, Global Travel Mates will actively liaise with the operator to seek suitable rescheduling, credits, or supplier refunds on your behalf.

How can I contact Global Travel Mates regarding my booking?

For all inquiries regarding terms, bookings, or adjustments to your upcoming travel itinerary, you can connect directly with your dedicated concierge manager in Brisbane.
